Marissa’s artistic journey began as a dancer and performer. She received her BA in Dance, Performance + Choreography from Meredith College in Raleigh, NC. Combining her interest in studying the mind-body connection, she became a certified yoga instructor, studied Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, and received formal training as a Behavior Change Specialist + Certified Integrative Health Coach at Duke Integrative Medicine.  

When she is not interviewing artists for the WANA Podcast, she serves as Director of Coaching Programs + leads small groups for Accountability Works, a California based coaching company, and brings others to moments of mindfulness through various mediums. Her work has been featured on Thrive Global, Insight Timer + The Garb Wire.

Marissa lives her days in the hills of the Hudson Valley with her husband, Marc.
